I first read George Orwell's, "1984" while a student at NYU. It had a profound impact on me. And in these foreboding times, I fear its relevance has eerily re-emerged. The great work is not just a classic but a recognized brand embraced around the world, from generation to generation, with its many words and phrases having been forever woven into our political lexicon. Such a powerful story needed a powerful score! The fusion of Rock Opera and the angst filled colors of Rap Rock seemed the perfect formula. Think Jesus Christ Superstar meets Linkin Park.
